“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop.” – Rumi

I hold a deep commitment to creating a welcoming, supportive, and collaborative space using individualized and integrative approaches. "Integrative" means that I carefully choose and sequence evidence-based interventions from a number of therapies and schools of thought to get you, your child, and/or your family feeling better as quickly as possible. By tailoring interventions to meet your needs, I hope to promote positive healing and long-lasting change.

Treating and supporting children is magical! I love being invited into the realm of adventure and creativity as I work with little ones who are trying to make sense of the world, themselves, their feelings, and their relationships. However, just treating children by themselves doesn't work and puts an unfair amount of responsibility on children for peace in the home. That's why at AMANI, we focus on (and require) parent/caregiver involvement in a child/teen's treatment. Parents often feel lost in terms of what to say to their child and/or how to manage their child's symptoms. We help restructure familial dynamics by emphasizing skill building for parents--and we build both discipline and relationship skills, which forms stronger bonds and helps children develop mastery and independence.

I also prioritize evaluating systemic and cultural factors, such as power dynamics, injustice, and privilege, which impact mental health and overall well-being. Addressing these complex dynamics can help bring clarity to what influences individual, familial, and community behaviors and relationships. Through exploring deeper questions of meaning, identity, symptoms, and the unknown, I hope to be part of your explorative journey.  I am particularly interested in individuals who are curious to get to know themselves, while also managing relationships with others.  I am dedicated to continuously growing my own professional tool box and knowledge base to better serve clients and communities.

I have completed my Master's Degree. I am in the final stages of my doctoral degree and am a Supervised Advanced Extern therapist with AMANI Clinical Services until the end of July 2025.

Give me a call. Let’s get everyone feeling better.

***At AMANI Clinical Services, all child and family therapists are trained extensively on Dr. Hastings’ Harmonizing Your Home Program and use it as the foundation for treatment. Harmonizing Your Home Program©2012 is a combination of several of the most effective transdiagnostic child/family treatments available into a unique program. It has been consistently successful at reducing damaging child behavior and symptomatology (anxiety symptoms, physical aggression, verbal aggression, compulsions, defiant and oppositional behavior, school refusal, tantrums, etc.) by 90 percent at the 2 week post-launch mark. The increase in safety creates a foundation to build healthier, more fulfilling family bonds. Positive family interactions effectively reduce symptoms. Progress made is resistant to relapse. Response to treatment is individualized and not guaranteed. Families with the best outcomes had motivated parents. We work with families every day who are experiencing real, lasting change and increasing peace-making and peace-keeping in their families. ***

As a Person....

Gaming has helped me be myself and let loose! I typically am playing League of Legends or getting crushed in Elden Ring. In terms of board games, I love a good game of CULTivate and get pretty competitive with Catan. I also aspire to foster inclusive and empowered spaced by amplifying choices, advocating for equity, and working to strengthen community. I believe that when we feel and honor ourselves, we can connect in such a sacred way with others too. I also just loving coloring, listening to music, reading books, sipping coffee, and cuddling with my cats.
